A 714 sq. ft. apartment at Le Bleu Deux is reimagined as a calm Japanese-inspired home, grounded in traditional colours and finely crafted natural birch furniture. Slatted sliding screens and circular motifs bring rhythm, softness and a sense of Zen balance to everyday living.

Designed for a couple, the layout responds to the husband's long working hours with a dedicated study connected directly to the main bedroom. Replacing the original bedroom entrance and wall with storage cabinets creates a practical partition that saves space and adds useful storage.

Bespoke birch cabinetry reveals the wood's natural grain, while slatted doors lend a Japanese character to the bedroom, study, kitchen and bathroom. Circular details in the artwork, lighting and mirrors echo ideas of completeness and quiet contemplation.

A feature mural in layered tones of Japanese blue draws the surrounding sea view into the interior. Balanced with warm timber and precise craftsmanship, it gives the home a relaxed, coastal sense of retreat.
